I've heard issues about some CDRs can't be read by a cd player.

Can anyone recommend a brand with good compatibility for CD players?

I use TDK Certified Plus and Verbatim Data Life Plus and haven't had a problem with any CD players not being able to read them. Between me and my brother, we've probably burned around 100 audio cds, using those.

I did come across a problem with the Imations though. My friends car CD player wouldn't play one without skipping.

I have found that to get the best results I have to record at 1x. My player in my car is also 4 years old.

Some discmans will play a disc fine without esp, but when you enable esp, it starts to have trouble.

Kodaks are working fine on my panasonic discman with esp on.

burnt at 4x.

My friend's car cd player will not play cds made by CMC Magnetics which includes most imations, nashua, and a few others.

I just got some HP cds that seem nice. Sonys are TDK are also top notch.
