CLIFFS DOWN AT THE BOTTOM
Earlier today I was trying to get my x1900XTX out from my case so I can get the dust off, but I couldn't do it. >_<' My mobo is a IP35 and that little white lever thingy wouldn't move. So I took a flathead screwdriver, stuck it in there and turned it so the lever would move. It moved....but it snapped off the lever thingy, and I STILL couldn't get the video card out. Wondering what I should do about that.
So I plugged everything back in and started up my PC. Now I get stuck at the Windows splash screen. I waited 10 minutes and it still was like that. Restarted 2 more times and still stuck. Tried safe mode, nothing. So I thought about just repairing my XP Installation and when I put my disc in, it'd give that CDBOOT: Couldn't find NTLDR thing. I know my disc works because I placed it in another PC and it worked just fine. I also made a Seatools ISO and tried to boot it but nothing.
Well, as I was just typing that last paragraph I tried to boot up my PC from the hard disk again, and it booted up just fine, but it took a LOT longer than usual, which worries me. Could there possibly be something wrong with my hard disk?
Also, I'm still getting the double boot problem on my IP35. I updated my BIOS awhile ago, to a newer version (Don't remember exact one) but it was said to fix all that.
CLIFFS:
-PCI-E lever thing snapped.
-CDBOOT: NTLDR when trying to boot from XP Disc. The disc works on a different computer so it shouldn't be the disc itself.
-System took longer than usual to get past the XP Splash screen, AFTER not being able to boot properly in safe mode either.
-Still have issues with IP35 double boot after updating BIOs.
Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!
