ok, i read somewhere about using another type's firmware to upgrade your CDRW.
for example: using LiteOn 24x10x40 firmware on 16x10x40 will "overclock" it so it's able to write at 24x
anyone know how to do this?
only way you can do that is to find out if your cdrw drive is what I call a "cover brand". Like my Iomega is really a sanyo. I forgot how I found that out, but I downloaded a firmware upgrade for it, and now it can burn 90 minute dvds and a few minor bug fixes. But Iomega has never released this fix for their own drive. So you might want to ask to see if your liteon is a cover brand and what brand it might really be.
I know HP had a drive where if you upgraded the firmware it would make it burn faster.
