CD to h/d or to burner background noise.

Getting no respone in the technical forum.
So here we are.
AMD 500 / S/Blive /256 ram
Win Xp pro with the Media player , Real jukebox and CDclone.
Either one plays a CD fine. But when I go to transfer to H/D or to my burner,I get a background noise as if it was a scratched record.Have the Mic muted. So I'm not sure what's making the noise.
Thought CD clone was fine, but it too has background noise on copied CD.First time using burnt cds, didn't here the background noise, second time around ,the noise seems to get worse.

Have you tried playing the cds in like a regular cd player? maybe in the car etc? I wonder if you would get the scratches there.

I've tried playing them in an alpine deck/my sons disc player and on the computer.Only the ones I've made (burnt) are scratchy. The tech at the shop where my wife got the (24xliteon)thought there may be a software conflict.Deleted Roxio easycd creator and was using the Nero that came with it.Still scratchy though.
No fun being unable to burn.🙁

hmm this probably isn't the cause, but it might be the type of cds that you are using, are you sure they are good? Second perhaps it could be the mp3/wav conversion software, perhaps try converting them in winamp first before burning. But using Nero instead of EZCD would have fixed that. I am at a loss, if that doesn't fix the prob, I would tend to lean more towards a hardware prob with your burner than a software prob. Sorry couldn't help ya more.
