CD-RW Trouble on Nforce2 System

Hi,

I have an Asus Nforce2 Motherboard and a Samsung CD-RW, whenever i insert a CD in the Drive, the sytem hangs and i can only restart it by hitting the Reset key, my system doesn't even boot if the CD is still in the drive, it happens with any CD, i checked the CD-RW on a different system and it works fine.... any advice?

this sounds like the same problem i just encoutered, except for a DVD-RW drive.

whenever i would finish burning anything with nero, the system would just hang up and die.
