CD-RW not getting read (STILL NEED A LITTLE ASSISTANCE), (Updated)

I have two computers one has a CD-RW drive and the other is a multi read CD Drive.
I have put some information on a few CD-RWs and then tried them with the multi read CD Drive Computer. All I get is CD(E🙂 and no info pops up. I Use incd. and have installed a UDFreader. However, when I try to uninstall the UDFreader a window pops up saying that "File corrupt install error" so I have deleted the files manualy and reinstalled it, but the same thing happens again. What should I do???

Have you tried updating your ASPI layers , some CDrom devices need these layers especially if your using either Win2k or XP .

ASPI

Do you have any other software you could use , or maybe you could try the Nero demo software Nero Burning Rom.

I did the ASPI Layer. Still no go. Both the CDROM and CDRW are IDE. I have Nero Burning Rom, but that is not for the CDRW. I got nero from When I bought the CDRW.

So you are saying that you didn't use Nero on this CD-RW that is giving you fits. Also what happens if you take the CD-RW to someone else's computer that owns a multi-read drive. That would tell you if it is your burner or your multi-read drive.

So are you able to view those files using your CDRW ok ?

Have you tried using Nero and then once you have burned those files onto disk with it , then test it out on your multiread cdrom ?

House 1 - Has a CDRW Drive which I am trying to make A CD-RW so I can use it in house 2

House 2 - Has a Multi Read CDROM Drive which I am trying to read the CD-RW that I made at house 1

I Can read the CD-RW on the CDRW Drive at house 1, but not on the Multi Read CD-ROM at house 2.

All the Multi Read CD-ROM sees is a full Disk (even though it is only 1/6 filled). However, it shows me no files. I have made my computer show me all hidden files and I still see nothing on the Multi Read CD-ROM.

I have made the CD-RW with the INCD program that came in the Nero Disk that came in my CD-RW Drive package.

I have made a CD-R on my CD-RW drive at house 1 and tried it on the Multi Read CDROM at house 2 and it worked fine.

However, I still would like to use a CD-RW instead of a CD-R.

Thankyou for the time you have spent helping me so far

Some CD drives have real problems reading CD-RW's. Have you tried any other brands of CD-RW's? Sometimes the brand will make a difference.

Also if you want to see if its just not wanting to do packet reading (UDF) then you could try making a packet style disk with a CDR and not a CD-RW disk. You just can't erase it so you have to be willing to more or less waste it in this experiment. Although you can keep writing to it until it is full and it will be able to be read in a much bigger variety of drives than the CD-RW disks.

Then your choice is to buy a new CD drive or try better brands of CD-RW's. You might try cleaning the laser lens with a lens cleaner, but it just may never read them.
