How do you install a CD-RW (Sony CRX175) on a new computer that has no operating system (will be installing XP Home), no formatted hard drive, etc. The CD-RW came only with a CD (no floppy)?
Thank you.

Your motherboard's bios will automatically recognize the cdrw and the operating system will as well. You just pop in your os and install it.

Yeah, most if not all moderm CD drives are ATAPI compliant and are supported by bios. It should just be available. If your looking to install your OS from it, you will need to include it in the boot device list before the hdd-0 (primary hard drive).
