cd/rw & burning software

Hi folks,

I have an lg cd/rw drive 12/8/32x. It came with adaptec easycd & directcd software.

I've heard some not so good things about the above software. Is nero better. If so, why? If

not, any recommandations/why?

Also my above drive has an 8mg buffer. I've noticed some 16/10/40x w/under burn

software with only a 2mg buffer(plexwriter). Does it make any difference? Again if so,

why? Maybe someone can direct me to a great website that will answer my questions and/or

give me more info on the above message title..

thanks in advance

I've used both and I think Adaptec is easier to use. I just don't have the DirectCD crap installed, but EZ CD Creator has giving me no problems...

Nero 5.x and Apaptec EZ creator 4.x or higher are great programs. They both have their strong points. Nero has a few more advanced features.

I have to say Nero has one of the most confusing interfaces Ive seen in a while...all I want to do is make a blasted music CD from my mp3! Maybe its because Im using Nero 5.0.3.6 OEM? Should I upgrade to 5.5?

Hey folks,

Thanks for your replies so far. Any info/sites about cd/rw's in reference to my first thread.

Thanks again in advance.

I used to use Adaptec EZ 4.3, but now I've moved on to Nero and CloneCD.

With the Nero software, my favorite function is the "Automatically shut down PC after burning." My computer heats up my dorm room like crazy and I like to let my burner do its work while I'm not in the room.
