CD ROM troubles

I'm using a SONY 48x CD rom, and as of late i've noticed that it half skips music tracks, like it is only half reading the CD. I'm using WinXP also. I have no idea why it's doing it, all i know is that it's REALLY FRUSTRATING :|

Does anyone know what might be the trouble, and how to fix it?

Not difficult to be a supreme commander for the southern hemisphere, since Australia is the only place of note there.

Melbourne is better than Brisbane....😛

Have you tried giving the lens a clean with one of those cleaning CD kits?

Well, i'm not from Brisbane, and Brisbane isn't THAT great of a place.. hehe 🙂

No i haven't yet, my brother suggested it could have a dirty laser, but i might try a cleaning set tomorrow..
