CD-ROM Problem

Suddenly, my CD drive will play certain only games. I know that the disks are okay because they work on another computer. It seems to play all audio disks with no problems.

Any idea what's causing this?
 
Are they cd-r or cd-rw disks? Check and see if the cd drive is MultiRead capable, if not and the trouble is with cd-r\cd-rw disks, try making another copy with a different brand of cd-r disks. Some cd drives have problems with certain brands of cd-r disks, no problems with others.....
 
Check here and see if anything may help.
Have you recently enabled DMA for this drive? If so disable and see....... good luck
