CD-rom problem

I've got a problem with my cd-rom drive. It has been working fine. But few days ago a cd broke while it was running inside the cd-rom drive damaging the objective lens.

I found that the edge of the lens has been damaged by that cracked cd. But the laser works ok.
I want to know that can I replace the lens from another drive's lens . Can I use a lens of a broken "Discman". Should I replace the "optical pickup" part.

Please tell me that which part that I should replace.

Thanks.

I have to agree. For the price of CD-ROM drives it is more cost and time effective to replace the drive. If you really feel like tinkering, go ahead and try it, but I would guess that it won't work.
