CD-ROM not detected

I have a Tyan S1854 Trinity 400 Motherboard. My hard drive is in my primary IDE and its detected as my primary master. My CD-ROM is in my secondary connector but is not detected as my secondary master and I can't load my operating system. Anyone ever have this problem? thanks much. 🙁
 
Have you set the jumper on the back of your CD-ROM to slave?

Make sure your hard drive is jumpered to master. It should be already, but double check.
