I bought a CD a little while ago when I was in India. Anyway, my CD has a scratch in it that makes one of the tracks skip. It's a real deep scratch that I haven't been able to get out and even EAC can't copy the track.

Do any of these music companies that make the CD's offer media replacment? Or do they sell you a licence to listen that only lasts as long as the media that was sold to you?

I know they have a problem with ripping songs, so apparently the licence only applies to listening to the data if it's on a CD they provide.

You're seriously overanalyzing this. Call up the distributor and find out if you can get a replacement.

That's what I was asking... if any of them did offer replacments.
