Hurm.. I have a Matsushita (Panansonic Bare?) SCSI 8X CDR that seems to be flaking out a lot. Randomly seems to reset the SCSI bus, doesn't usually complete a burn, etc. Another friend has the same drive which is also seemingly having similiar problems.
My question is, does anyone have a clue where to RMA this thing? Is it even possible? I believe this was NOT sold has a Panasonic Bare drive, but as an unbranded Matsushita. I could be wrong though, I really wish I woulda kept the comp geeks reciept. :/. The drive just says "8X Write" on the front cover, and was actually fairly popular about 2 years ago when I bought it. I figure most CD-R's have a 3 year warranty..
I'd be most appreciative for any help, I don't have the cash to replace this thing right now, and not having a burner would pretty much suck.
Also, a friend has an Abit board (the RAID FCPGA socket one), that the keyboard and mouse (ps/2) ports stopped working on. He bought the board with his friends credit card, and his friend lost the reciept on that also. How would you go about RMA'ing that?
