They'll issue a rain check and if you prefer will take your order and call you when it comes in. The local store had 6 when the sale started. Great planning by the buying staff! :)

Frys had about 75 spindles left this afternoon in arlington, tx. Probably more in the back.

i just went to fry's today. the CDs are Great Quality (name brand) and they are pretty cool. for $0.24 a piece, you can't beat that price too often. they also have a protective coat on the top of them saying Great Quality GQ 12x 80min....... and they are a light greenish color with a tint of blue. sku # 2760943. only lasts until july 4 though so hurry up while its still good.

Lookin through the Best Buy ad for this week and they have PNY 50 spindle 12X 80 min for $19.99 - $5 mail in rebate. Total will be $14.99. This seems like a better deal since they are 12X compatible and cheaper. Unless Memorex brands are much better ( which I seriously doubt)

PNY good? What color are they on the bottom, how do they compare to the GQ's at Fry's and the Memorex at sears (which I can not buy anymore - sold out).

Don't count too much on your PNY rebate, unless you are ready to hassle them til they pay you. They are a buncha crooks and weasels.

The Memorex I got was really good with butter and jelly. I got 50 for $5 on a Staples PM and I think I got ripped. I believe they may work for some people but my old 4260 liked to spit them out even before I started the burning.

That leaves the GQ from Fry's as the only true deal for me. I just got two spindles today and I want to thank ebaker for the post. Now I have plenty of CDs to last way into my next burner. Whenever they come out with that 12x10x32 SCSI Plextor :)
