I got a file 730Mb, overburn it & cd can't be recognize by the burner...

burner : Liteon LTR40125s
CDR : Fuji 24x 700Mb / 80 Min. (suppose to be the best, coz made in Japan TY)
Software: Nero 5.5 burn @ 32x
File : A Divx 3 File :) <- If anyone know any software to edit file / shrink down the size, Pls LMK

I close all the session, Disc at Once, & Finalize the CD..

will 800Mb / 90 Min CDR help in this situation ?

I heard that 800Mb / 90 Min CDR are not within the spec and windows OS will treat it as normal 700Mb CDR.

Pls advice

Thanks in advance.

A. What did you use to overburn the disc?
B. Can you read the disc in the burner you burnt it in?
C. AFAIK, 90min CDRs are simply 700MB CDRs that simply overburn really well.

Can you shrink the file any smaller? I've gotten as high as 711MB on my liteon. What kind of file is it?

I went to a computer show over the weekend and picked up 25 90min CD-Rs for $10. I got just over 90 mins on it and it plays fine in my computer and car deck...

depends on the drive and disc. my 24x liteon could burn any cdr i threw at it up to 714mb.
my 52x liteon can't push past 701~mb sadly with 700mb discs. annoying.

Virtualdub... re-encode the video of your movie to a lower bitrate so it will fit, leave the audio on direct stream copy.

what burn program? i'm using the nero that came with my 52x liteon. it complains the disc isn't big enough and doesn't even let me try. my liteon24x came iwth nero that wouldn't do that.

yes, i've selected overburn in expert features. which is why its so %#@ annoying. i think my nero is retarded or something. can't use the older nero because it doesn't recognize a 52x.

You have not read the guide I posted have you? You have to change some settings in Nero.

You didnt link to the right page.

Edit - Not sure if thats the rite link:
"**note: This guide assumes you are attempting to burn a certified 99min CD-R. If you are attempting to burn 99min worth of data onto a standard 80min CD-R it will almost certainly fail!"

Yeah do that.
Nero won't OVERBURN 1 min if you don't set it to.
You may not get 99mins on a 70 min CD, but you won't get 71 if you do not change the setting. I hope it helps.

problem being that i already did all that, because i knew how to overburn with my 24x liteon on nero:p

my old nero gave that overburn writing popup warning letting you write anyways. my new nero gives no such warning, it just bitches that the disc is too small :(
