CD/DVD Rom Read Error

Update: I installed each driver one by one and tested the DVD drive after each install. All the drivers installed fine and the IDE cable still worked great. I then installed software one by one and tested the DVD drive after each install.

The final solution: Microsoft Anti-spyware was the culprit!!!! When it was running my DVD drives wouldn't work correctly, after cussing microsoft and uninstalling that program everything works great now!
 
No, it wasn't scanning anything. However it had 3 agents running. One for the system, One for the internet, and one for applications. When I shut down the agents, my computer acted normally.

Glad it all works. Add that to another MS F-up.
