CD/DVD Burning Software

What do you use? What would you recommend and why?

I have Nero OEM Suite 6.0 and I am tired of it and I have not heard great stuff about the 7.0 full version.

I'd like to hear suggestions...I have heard of Alcohol but dont have any experience with it.

As long as I can burn movies, CDs and the basic stuff then fine.

Thanks in advance

I use Nero 7. I think I picked it up for $40 at a compusa sale. I am probably biases to Nero since I have been using it for a long time. I also like the ability to verify the burn. Since I haven't tried Roxio lately I am not sure if they have a similar feature now too.

Nero 6.6.1.4 or the latest from Roxio are both very good
You could also use: PowerISO

I don't want Nero 7 as it has had a lot of complaints about
skips in cd audio tracks, a problem that did not occur in V6
Also I don't care for the new interface look

For movies: AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 (awesome).

For burning: Nero Suite 6.6.

I might try that Nero 7 lite... 🙂 I already have Nero 7, it was bloated x 10.

ImgBurn has replaced Nero 6 OEM for me. It's made by the same guy that did DVD Decrypter, and it can build ISOs (out of any data) and burn them. It can erase rewriteable discs, too.

it's as light on system resources and as fast as DVD Decrypter, but best of all, its freeware.
