CD/DVD 1000 PAPER SLEEVES W/ WINDOW $25 Shipped

I just received a package of 1000 of these for $24.93 delivered.
For those who can deal with that many sleeves, it's a HOT Deal.
These are sold for $9.94 as Buy-It-Now with $14.99 shipping.
Just search for "CompCDR 1000 PAPER SLEEVES"

Disclaimer: As far as I can tell, this post is no different than any other Hot Deal post. Many AT forum members have already indicated a desire to be informed of eBay "Buy-It-Now" Hot Deals.
I did some research before buying these, and there was nothing comparable outside of eBay.

AFAIK, no eBay deals allowed. Not even "Buy it now".

No offense, but Tyvek sleeves are much better, paper sleeves can scratch (residual wood fibers, etc.)

The price is hella good though, I used to buy packs of 100 tyvel for .. I think $6 or $10. Paper might be good if you are just using them to sell/distribute media. I also assume no window?
Edit: Oops, color me doofus, I didn't read the full title I guess. 😛

One thing they are really excellent for is storing CDs and DVDs.
See the title? Yes, there's a window, otherwise it wouldn't be Hot.

I buy Disc Sleeves from ShopAmPm.com and get great service and prices (IMHO)
Take your pick:

100 = $6
500 = $15
1000 = $26
2000 = $47

FREE Shipping on ALL ITEMS ...

No ebay deal allowed here. It is to prevent people from posting their own ebay auctions. These posting will be locked!

Most of the ebay "buy it now" deal have only one available anyway, so it's pointless to post it because the auction's already ended by the time 99.99% of the people read it.

Here's a hint......Read the Rules!!

o No links to auction sites. We do not consider auctions to be Hot Deals. Posting a link to your own auction offer may be reason to lock your account.

I like the waxy plastic-paper ones better. Are those the 'tyvek' ones?

If you can grab it in the middle and rip it in half it's paper 🙂
Tyvek doesn't rip (at least none I've ever had would).

gotta love that shipping hike.

most places dont seem to carry cheap paper sleeves. ill just stop by the next computer show and pickup a few packs.

what i hate the most is the extreme prices of caselogic products and the like. heaven forbid they sell some inserts for cheap so we can stick some in a regular binder. (they only have like a 10-pack for 10bucks).

Holy moly, those are good prices for Tyvek ones. I didn't realize that the "1 for $3.99" was actually one 100-pack. Great deal, I'll have to check those out soon. Btw, those sleeves in the picture on that page are not Tyvek sleeves, AFAIK, but those other different types of sleeves, very similar to the ones that I use to store most of my recorded media in, in 5.25in floppy-era sized media boxes.

I'm sitting here holding some of these in my hot little hands, and they're great, esp for disks I give to other people, or just toss in the car, etc.

Double sided, and they seem like they're nice and soft on the disk surface. They also have little punch holes for putting in a notebook, but I've not done that yet.

guys... we are here to share hot deals no? doesn't matter what the source... a hot deal is a hot deal....

don't need 1000 sleves though

Wait, so that picture is correct? Are those tyvel sleeves, or double-sided "bubble sleeves", with the soft textured surface as a backing material? If so, that's even hotter besides, best I've found those types of sleeves for is $10-13 for a 100-pack.

Thanks VirtualLarry for noticing that these "tyvek" sleeves are a little mysterious. I've never seen transparent tyvek. They must be mislabeled, or maybe it's the center piece that's tyvek?
There's apparently no flap - that's not good. I'll pass on them.

You can buy from compcdr.com instead of going to eBay, but you won't get the same deal by a long shot.
1000 white paper sleeves at compcdr.com will be $42 delivered.
By the way, they also carry tyvek sleeves, but none are currently available on eBay.
Be smart - eBay.

the center piece looks tyvek to me in the picture.

Well, it's a bit unlear, but that may be the terminology - most people casually refer to CD envelopes as "sleeves", or at least I do. So when I hear "tyvek sleeves", I'm thinking tyvek envelopes, usually with a window, but not always. Envelopes hold a single disc, and have a fold-over flap at the top. Those pictured at Microcenter are most certainly not envelopes, and are probably more properly called "sleeves". But the newer style of "protective sleeves", usually isn't used together with "paper" or "tyvek" as part of the description, unless they are referring to envelopes. That's why the description on Microcenter doesn't match the picture.

(hope I'm making sense here)

Now, if you can get tyvek envelopes at MC for that price, that's a pretty hot deal. But if the price shown is for double-sided protective sleeves, that's an much hotter deal, those types of "sleeves", I've not seen for less than $10/100, ever.

I bought the CompCDR sleeves from Ebay and paid for them on Mar. 23 and they just arrived today. I also bout the Tyvek sleeves mentiond here (I bought them first, and forgot, duhhhh, so I bought the ones on ebay also :roll: ). The Tyvek sleeves are two-sided and have 2 holes for putting in a ring binder. No flaps on them. The brand name is inland (inland-products.com) and they are made in China. They seem like a good deal to me. 5 cents each shipped when you order I orderd 3 - 100 packs, which would be just over 2.5 cents for each cd stored.
