Do you have important files in CDs that must not fall in the wrong hands? Are you a CD destroyer maniac? The Personal Media Corporation, which is based in Japan, has a solution for you with the codename: "PMC CD-shredder". It supports both CD-R/RW/DVD media and its operation is very simple: destroy the surface of the media so none can recover the data. The machine will start selling at Japan soon and the price of 138,000 Yen ($1111).

Or for probably about ~300 dollars, you could purchase a dual function, inhouse incineration machine/Bar-B-Q grill.

I got a lighter I paid 50 cents for, it does a good job melting CDs. Can you recover data from melted CDs?

You can cut CDs with a decent scissor...so you can go around the edge like 5mm in and make a spiral thingy. :p Then, the lil layer of metallic stuff that holds the data is really easy to peel off...so you could always do it that way. Hell, you can just cut one circle into it and then peel it off, it just has to be inside the lil space between the metal and the edge of the plastic. Don't ask how I know this...it's a long, funny story.

I`d rather make a die grinder adapter (they spin at 20,000 rpm) and watch them explode... :D (BTW from a safe distance... ;) )

Ever see "I come in peace"...? Nice idea...?
