When I tried to check out after putting 100 CD jewel cases in my cart, the shipping cost was $54. Hmmm... Now that's what I call a HOT DEAL!!!

I think I'll try calling the 800 number and see if I can negotiate the shipping.

This is a shipping scam.

I spoke with them re: $104.45 shipping charge which showed up in basket. Was told this was UPS charges.

UPS website showed less than $20 for same weight as # of cds ordered. Even if you add $10 for handling this is nuts.

Interestingly, they said their sister site would only charge me $30 for shipping -- BUT they had the same cases for $ .30+ each.

just called them and the price goes WAY up because of the size and weight... they wanted $104 shipping for 200 jewel cases... anybody know where to get jewel cases for less than .20 cents a piece...?

Goto your local CompUSA. They have em there and you don't have to pay shipping .

this is seriously one of the worst deals i've ever seen, and not anyone's fault but whoever designed those d**n shipping charges.

Just go to your local Compusa, they have them there for about .15-.20 usually.

Ok, I know I'm not suppose to sell item at hotdeal forum (I did the same thing 3-4 months ago and i sold out 400 of my jewel cases). But i have about 300 of CD jewel cases sitting in my room now. They came with CDR but I've taken out all the CDR and only the jewel cases left. If anyone interested, email me at wjones111@hotmail.com.

Each big box is about 18 lbs so the shipping cost might be expensive then the jewel cases.

I agree with PG. This is simply bait (low item price) and switch (stick it to you on shipping). We don't need to play ball with these folks unless they repent and implement good business practices...
