CD burning software for Linux

The burning software that came with my distribution(K3B) is absolutely horrible. I have tried fixing it for months and have gotten nowhere. I've been searching around for CD burning software non stop and can't find one that will actually install. Does anybody know where I can get one??? I'd prefer it have a GUI but it's not that big a deal.

How is it horrible? K3B is generally regarded as the best thing available. But, AFAIK all Linux burning tools are just front-ends to the cdrecord and cdrdao tools.

I think that's true.
K3B works fine for me, although I ussually use XCDRoast
