CD Burning question :(

Platypus

Lifer
Alright, my burner is a 16x and for some reason, and its only on like one song of a cd, usually with mp3s, there is like static in one song, during like a quiet part. Its really starting to piss me off, because like it just ruins a whole CD for me. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I use Easy CD Creator, yes I know I am the devil for that. Will different software help me, or is it my burner? I am confused on what to do.

hmmm...i doubt it's the burner. also, since it's just one song, i have a feeling its the mp3 itself. not sure about EZ CD, havent used the newer versions.

Usually I would agree with you, but this was an actual CD this time. I was just copying a CD into another CD.

hmmm...than in that case, i would do what BlackSoul suggested, try another CD

hope it works 🙂

*edit* maybe it has to do with your recording settings or something, i dont know much about it, but i firgure it can have a big impact on the quality of the CD your burning.

These are pretty good CDs... what I have always used.

I doubt in my mind its the media, because its just a disc, it sounds like when Easy CD converts the mp3s to wavs, it messes up the levels or something. Should I try converting them into WAVs with another program, then just using the WAVs?

<< no, it's probably your hard drive. Used to happen to me, until I reinstalled the windows. >>

Uh... highly unlikely.

<< I heard about noise before when burning with ezcd, but i can't find any link right now. >>

Ok, so do you suggest I try another product, like Nero?
I just want conformation that its not my burner or computer, because like 98% of the songs sound good.

Edit: thanks for helping me bigrash, its refreshing to find someone who actually helps you rather than ridicule you.

i would suggest first updating to the latest driver for ezcd. for some reason, i thought that there was something on their website about this problem, but i guess i saw it somewhere else since i couldn't find anything.

if the latest driver doesn't work, try nero or something. i doubt that's it's hardware related(but you never know).

edit: glad to be of help. hope you resolve the problem

Ok, anyone else with this problem? I have read a few articles now about how easy cd creator creates that noise for some reason. this is not acceptable at all, besides nero, are there any other programs that will not mess up my CDs, and that support CD Text?

<< just burn one more time, try another blank CD. Maybe it's only a one-time problem. >>

nope, happened more than once now.
