I'm trying to burn some data cd's here at work. Just got a copy of Adaptec EZ CD creator deluxe and all the patches running on my NT 4.0 SP3 Server. The data seems to burn just fine, but it cannot be read on any other CD-Rom's. I can see it on the server's burner, but if I take it to my desk, I can't read it.

Burner: S&F CD-R8020 SCSI burner
Media: Verbatim "Blue" tint

Any suggestions?

thanks

Kind of a newbie myself to burning but 3 possibilities come to mind..

Try another brand of CDR/CDRW
Slow down the Burn
Try the demo of Nero

Take the disk to a new computer and try to read it. Some older CD readers cant read CDR's. If it works in the newer PC you know your CD reader cant read CDR's.

The CD-Rom I tried it in is in a band new Dell. Only a month old. I also tried it on a brand new Sony 48x.

I'm in the process of trying a new brand of media. We'll see how that goes.

I thought I had. After more experimenting it looks like choosing "Close CD" doesn't actually close the CD. If I go under "CD Properties" and close the session it will allow the data to be seen on other systems...

I don't understand what's going on. It doesn't seem like the selections in the software actually do what they say they do..... I shoulda bought Nero. :(
