CD Burning Problem

Here is the problem that I am having and it exists whether I use the latests version of Nero or the Adaptec software that came with my burner. Whenever I copy a music CD (.cda) the first track copies perfectly but all remaining tracks have a 1/2 to 1 second burst of white noise right at the very beginning. I am using a BCD 32XH for my CD ROM and a NEC NR-7500A capable of 8X burning for my CD Burner. Both ROM and Burner are connected on the same IDE Bus and for that reason I am NOT attempting to copy "On the Fly". I have also tried reducing the burn speed to 4X with no improvement. Obviously something is not right, any ideas???:frown:
