I just got a creative 8/4/32 drive, I've been TRYING to burn some stuff. I also got a 50 pack of imation 12x 700MB/ 80 Min cdrs. Well In Nero Burning Rom, I keep getting errors about how the cd can't recognize.. I don't know wtf is up. I've been able to burn one cd @ 4x, it wouldn't work any higher than that.

Anyone know about these cdrs and if they really suck, or if there are any defective creative cdrw drives out there?

Or if anyone has a simple solution to a problem that I'm somehow just missing..
 
Is Nero the software that came with it?
If not, do you have problems burning cds with the default software that came with the cd-r drive?

Does it always work at 4x?
Are you burning from a hard drive or cd-rom drive? In either case, it's possible that you're getting buffer underruns and as a result, if you burn at faster than 4x, it'll give out lots of errors and stop the cd.

But you said you're getting "cd can't recognize" messages? Can you be specific? Have you checked that with the online help index that Nero has regarding the error messages in the program?
