Right here.

"Good stories" about CCWs or not,

I disagree with most people on this forum regarding gun control. Reverting to the "Wild West" where everyone carries is not a solution. Better gun control is.

So,

Instead of getting into arguments with everyone here about it, I'm just going to "agree to disagree".

Have a nice day.
Hi.

The beauty of America, freedom of speech.

I don't want everyone carrying either. A lot of dumb asses out there but until we execute the murderers/robbers, instead of feeding/housing them, the average citizen needs an option for protecting themselves.

He didn't shoot him? Spidey07 would demand this guy lose his CCW rights, actually I think according to Spidey it's illegal to draw a gun on a person and not shoot them dead. Pulling and not shooting means this guy's obviously not a responsible gun owner right Spidey my man?

So what you're saying is that we could immediately reduce the number of murders in the United States by 5.8% by simply removing everyone's hands and feet?

Assuming that people aren't using forehead-mounted guns or knives to commit murders, I'd say that the murder rate would drop by quite a bit more than that.

CCW shootings never make the national media. It's not a doom and gloom story that will draw the viewers. Who heard about the other shooting in Aurora this year? Pretty much no one. All gun control does is makes it harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves. Criminals don't give a shit what's legal or not, that's why they are criminals. They will still carry weapons and they will still kill, your just making it harder for victims to protect themselves.

If the suspect simply dropped the knife and ran, it would have been illegal to shoot him - right?

In essence, there's no legal way to detain him unless he wishes to be detained. Only the threat of an illegal action, shooting him, stopped him.

Yea, it would be illegal to plug him in the back fleeing the scene as the threat is now moving away although I don't think any of the unfortunates who got stabbed by this madman would have minded..

If there's anything I've learned from this, it's that we need tighter knife regulations. Only police should be allowed to have knives, and each one needs to be registered with the state. Then, and only then, can I feel safe from a vicious attack such as this.

:thumbsup: to the guy who stopped him.

Shens

According to ATOTers and ABC 20/20, there is no way this guy reacted in time.
