CCNA Boot Camp

I'm looking for the best deal I can find. Hopefully a package that includes Flight. I actually found one that includes the flight, but they're hard to come by.

I was going to go to Camp Certify this Friday but it was cancelled because of low attendee count. I can still go at the end of February but I thought I should look around some more and see if there is anything comparable. Any ideas?

What do they do in CCNA boot camp? Do they basically train your for a CCNA test? LoL, just the name sounds funny 😛

Yep, much like an accelerated high school or college class. Have lots of tests, hands on stuff, and thing like that.

Yes, it's an Exam Cram, only with real instructors. Most places guarantee you pass the test. And if you're lucky, you can find a boot camp that teaches you more than just what is on the test.

How much does something like that cost? I want to get a CCSP, I'm sure they have the same thing for that?

I don't know about this one, but most training sessions are $1500-2500 depending on how many days are involved. Those prices would be 3-5 days.

I've seen some one day courses for around $500-700.

CCNA is not difficult. You should be able to save a lot of money just buying a book and studying it for a month or two, instead of taking a boot camp. Besides, CCNAs are kinda worthless, you have to have a CCNP to be noticed now. The CCNP exams are actually somewhat hard.. so, save your money on the CCNA and prepare to spend it getting the CCNP.

is there still a demand for this certification w/ downsizing and outsourcing ? i heard they change the 640-801? exam to be more difficult

My company is paying for it and it was budgeted. I have little cisco experience, but I need to get into cisco because I'm heading the security projects. So it won't be a waste of time for me... because I have little time to study on my own.

I will get the CCSP next, but that is going to be much more intense and more expensive. Maybe I'll break that down into sections and take the courses separately.

Hyey bro let me know if you find any near DC. Im looking to start taking a course myself

If you don't mind the travel, I found a good deal at Camp Certify. I got in just in time for the end of year special, huge discount, but it looks like they're still offering a New Year discount as well.

It includes the 5 day course, hotel, flight, shuttle, breakfast and lunch, snacks, and exam guarantee. If you don't pass it the first time, they pay for the second.
