Ccleaner - Hotfix Uninstallers

Hi all,
I'm new here, and just wanted to get some opinions. I am running Ccleaner, but I'm not touching the registry options. However, there is an option to clean out Hotfix Uninstallers, under the Advanced Options. I ran the Analysis and Ccleaner said there are 442MB that can be freed.
What is a Hotfix Uninstaller? Should I clean these dll's out or leave this option alone?

I wouldn't mess with them, I think they are MS hotfixes which are usually installed to fix an error or vulnerability in the OS.

The hotfix uninstallers are to uninstall the hotfixes. Not much help eh? Okay, put it this way when MS patches a security flaw and it breaks an application you use; you can use the hotfix uninstaller to uninstall that hotfix.

Only if your pc runs just fine and nothing is wrong for a week or two then you can run ccleaner to clean up to give hard drive space and also it doesnt messed up registery file if you are afraid it does have back up option before you run registery clean up....

it might uninstall hotfixes backups;updates install but you have the option revert before this or that update;if you uninstall them,the option to revert back to them is gone.
essentially it unistalls backups of older updates who were overwritten by new ones.
jsut my guess....

ah used a program called hotfix remover or something to get rid of those. i never uninstall hotfixes though

It doesn't UNINSTALL the hotfixes, it merely removes the cached installers. By removing those, you cannot uninstall the fixes. I've always removed mine and never had an issue.
