CCC settings don't work

I like to force my settings from CCC, but they just stopped taking effect. I was playing SIN episodes with AA and AF all the way, and then installed BF2 and immediately, SIN episodes got jaggy again, and BF2 couldn't use HQAF.

Has anyone figured out what affects the CCC settings? Because I keep applying and nothing happens.

Haha, thats funny. Not because its not working for you, but because I just played SiN, and then BF2 in the same order as you did. Wife went to get her hair done, and I had a few hours to kill...

I dont have the problems you do. I have read that you need to reboot for HQ AF to enable/disable itself, for whateve reason. But I have never heard of AA/AF settings not taking effect. You may want to make sure the in-game options are set to AA/AF being on, and that CCC has them as app preference. Or try forcing AA/AF thru the drivers.

I got that same problem with my ASUS EAX1900XT. First the Overdrive didn't work (the maximum was always same as the minimum). Then after that i noticed that all the forced settings (like HQAF) didn't work either, when they were set from CCC.

So I decided to uninstall CCC, and after that I've been using ATITool for overclocking and ATI Tray tools for other settings. Works fine.

I never found out what was the issue CCC settings not working. This was with 6.3 and 6.4 -versions.

Are you using the 6.4 drivers? There were some issues with those, so either upgrade to the newer 6.5 drivers or you can forget CCC and use Ati Tray Tools instead.

Another vote for ATI Tray Tools. Not only does it take less resources but it has a fan control, reliable OC funtion, temp monitor, and FPS counter like FRAPS.

I have the same issue but only with AF. I have 16x HQ AF forced in CCC for BF2 but it doesn't work. HOWEVER, I'm using a forced widescreen format. Gonna check if that has anything to do with it.

BF2 AA for catalyst work if you put APP preference.

Incidentally, I love ATI Tray Tools, but im using crossfire, and I'm pretty sure there was no crossfire option in ATT. Are any of you using it in crossfire?

Apparently, having FRAPS or Azureus open adversely affects the CCC, and causes it to not save settings.

no, my point is it worked on and off. I've been using 6.3 and it would work and then after several hours, it would be "broken again". I could never figure out what changed in the mean time that would have caused it.

As of now, i just reformatted, and installed a minimal system, and BF2, with Cat 6.5, no chuck, and its currently working. I backed up the registry and took a snapshot of it, so I'll hopefully be able to discover what is affecting it.

but the AA settings still aren't forced in any games, even Source now, which usually works.
