cC0, cB0 stepping, what the?

Can anyone tell me what the terms cC0, cB0 etc refer to, is this to do with the motherboard or is this a CPU description?

And what does it do?

Those are references to "S spec/Stepping of Intel CPU.

For Intel's copermines: cA2 was the original steppings that was released, cB0 was the (supposely) SMP enabled, improved yeilds, etc.. and I believe cC0 supposed to be out in the next few months or so. Go browse around http://www.overclockers.com/ for more info.
