CBBHD 0448 SPAW is this stepping found on socket 754 or 939? is it a 90nm or 130nm part?

is this stepping limited to a few speeds (like 1.8-2.2ghz or something) or is it across the whole line?

but is there a reliable place to get this chips..seems so hit or miss...mwave has sent at week44 and even 37 lately...monarch has sent later chips but no clear guarantee there...

I would give it a go again...if I could get one of these babies

also Zebo..I saw several posts on these chips some had run Prime95 but it was not clear whether the majority had..so are these stable or just boasting

I've been monitoring stock at few places in my neighborhood, so far they are up to weeks 43 and 47. Will be taking another look next week or so. I was thinking about trying the week47 though.

go to Frys this weekend to play the "cage" and see if you strike one to sample... I may myself. I sent Monarch computer, who's known to stock and guranteed desirable steppings, an email to investigate further...

I have just received a 3200+ CBBHD 0448 SPAW, and am wondering if there is any significant difference between the 3000+ SPAW's and my 3200...

In the page below, only 3000+'s have the SPAW title.

http://tuneup.free.fr/AMD64/amd64step.html

So the question is, is there something odd about a 3200+ SPAW?

got it from newegg, around mid jan, finally got here today.

fired it up with:

enermax 470W psu with dual +12v rails (16a 15a)
xfx 6600gt
epox ep-9NDA3J
the chip

im running 280fsb 3x htt and 166 ram (ddr 466) 3-4-4-10/1T on original samsung 3200.

went up to 2520MHz at 1.6v

board doesnt like high bus speeds, cant hit 300 really stable

im still happy $154

I heard those CBBID are pretty bad but then again I saw a few pepole with the exactly same stepping and the exact same production week but one was about to hit 2.7ghz and one was only able to hit 2.3ghz... so your milage may vary (ymv) on these type of OC. There is really no best stepping/best chip for athlon64 as the people at XS forum will tell you.

I think in general the CBBIDs aren't the best. My 3000+ won't stay at 2025Mhz with stock voltage. I'm still trying to find out what voltage I need to keep it at this mild OC. :(

It's printed only on the CPU heatspreader... gotta remove the HS.
