I see a lot of you getting your PIII cb0 to do the 133 dance...I have a PIII 750 cb0 and cant get it to boot 133buss...Best I can do is 967MHZ with an Alpha with a couple Sunon 60mm..any tricks you guys are pulling to do this or are you using Pelts or water cooling? Thanks

You didn't say much about your system, but anywany:

You may have simply hit the max for that chip, your board or whatever. After all even Intel is having trouble getting to 1 GHz, with 933 being the fastest readily available. One of the AnandTech testers mentioned that they don't recommend a BX/133 setup in their Buyer's Guides because some of the testers couldn't hit 133 in their personal systems. Tom Pabst has also talked demur on this subject (while also pointing out the benefits of a faster system bus).

I assume you've tried the usual suspects:

RAM CAS & RAS BIOS parameters
Up Core voltage max 15%
Try different video card AGP to PCI
Swap in new moboard

You might look at AnandTech's recent article on video cards vs. 133 BX:

I don't think there's much else.

:)

If you are running a BX chipset,
you could try either putting a thin layer of thermal grease inbetween the greeny and the chipset.
Or even active cooling, like a leasnia cooler from tennmax.

While few people have problems running at BX133, its still overclocking the chipset.

I am using an AOpen ax6bc Pro Gold and have a BX Master coming in an am thinking of getting a BF6 just for the flexibility of the different chipsets...the Pro Gold has a nice chipset heatsink on it and is a very stable board..as you say it may be the max for this chip but I was just wondering how the folks with the 700s are hitting the iGHZ level...thanks for your comments and I will research some of those articles :) Oh and Im using a G400Max that runs up to 101MHZ proven already..Perhaps a Via chipset would do better?
