Cb0 celeron2s? Dual?

Daniel

I had always heard that the celeron2s were smp disabled but now I hear some people talking about the cb0 celeron and now the cc0 celeron which I was unaware of, are these chips now able to run dual in something like that new abit or msi dual fcpga board?
thanks,
Daniel

I dont believe the smp is enabled on them. But the onvia.com 633's that run at 950 are all Cb0's

Try a pair, and let us know 🙂

Heh no problem, shoot one of those dual boards to me and 2 processors and I'll run all the tests you want 😉

All 533A chips (now discontinued) are cB0. All other Celeron II chips are either cB0 or cC0.

That's probably why they overclock so well, aside from the smaller cache.

Well it's not really a case of wondering about the oc'ablity of the chip, I do have one system with a 533@800 so that runs just fine, I was just wondering if when the moved to cb0 if there was something for smp enabled on them.

That was what I was getting at. They never "moved" to cB0. Every single Celeron II chip ever made is either cB0 or cC0. You currently own a cB0 chip in other words.

Haven't seen report of anyone run SMP with them though.

Ok I see, I was under the impression that they had changed over or something but apparently I was wrong, thanks.

haha funguy isn't having a fun time over here, that was pretty much my question but I'm thinking if they were smp enabled someone would have said something at this point, maybe not though.
