PC100ram set at cas3. ASUS P3BF at 133/33.3FSB.
FC-PGA 700e. I tried running at 933 at 1.65 it would lock up I bumped the voltage all the way up to 1.75 and sometimes it locks up after heavy use. But sometimes it works fine. Creative GTS video card and Golden-Orb with IWILL slotket II.

The question is how would I know whats causing this? Is it the ram? Is my golden orb on right. When I twisted it It twists into the cpu and thats it should I twist it counter-clockwise until I hear a click?
Should I try the MSI Master.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

What are you doing when it locks up? 3D apps? If that's the case it's probably your vid card or your agp bus.

From your description through it looks like it would probably be your RAM. What is it's specification? Normally PC-100 Cas2 can run at 133 Cas3. If it's PC100 Cas3 and with your 133 fsb your RAM will be overclocked to 133 so it is probably your failing.

I suspect its heat. She did mention that it booted windows, and freezes after heavy use. Is there any thermal compound between the CPU and the Gorb? If there isn't any, I suggest you get some.

😉

Just keep in mind that not all cB0 700Mhz do 933Mhz fully stable. I tried three chips, and I think that speed around 850 - 875Mhz is the sweet spot.
