Cavalier vs. Tsunami

I'm getting ready to build a new pc and am stuck on the case. I really like the look of the both but I prefer the usb inputs on the side (as opposed to the top) that are on the Cavalier. I suppose the Cavalier will be a little bit quieter than the Tsunami, but will it cool as well? Thanks

I havent seen the Cavalier, but i own a Tsunami, and it's awsome! Cooling is quite good, installation was fine, and it looks very very good!

Dont get a Thermaltake Case. They are VERY noisy. If you want the Tsunami design buy the original (Thermaltake remade the Coolermaster Wavemaster). Get the Wavemaster. Thermaltake is going to be loud, and not as good quality as the Coolermaster.

It's only loud because of their choice of fans. Plop in two Panaflo 120mm's and drop em to 7V and you'll have a pretty silent PC. In fact, I use only 1 120MM fan as an outtake fan and the system is damn silent.

get hte cavalier. i built a computer using the cavalier today and it is absolutely great. it looks fantastic and has great features.

The Tsunami is AWESOME. I love mine... It isn't going to be too loud for me but it isn't that big of a deal to replace the 120mm with a Panaflow if it really bothers you that bad

I'm in a similar boat. I'm trying to decide btwn the wavemaster and tsunami. Won't the tsunami cool better because of the 120s (and 92 if you get the windowed version) versus the 80s that the wavemaster has? I would imagine that the wavemaster would be a bit quieter than the tsunami

no no no, 120mm fans are quieter than 80mm fans because they can move the same amount of air without having to spin as fast.

Almost always bigger fans = less noise. If you pop two quieter 120mm fans into that tsunami then the only time the wavemaster will be quieter with 80mm is when it is turned off!

the rumor that Tsunami's are too loud is BS. I know AT said that it was, but i got all the stuff in my sig with the windowed version of the Tsunami, and it's quieter than my mom's Compaq (has to be less than 30 db's or so)!!!

I've seen a wavemaster at a local Milwaukee PC, and i think they look worse in comparison. I dont see why they have so much higher quality...like i said, my Tsunami is very quiet, and the fact that it has thinner sides doesnt make it "flimsey". It's very sturdy, and looks much better than the Wavemaster which is overpriced in my opinion.

I don't have any experiences with the Cavalier but if I could go back and make changes to my system, I would go for a Cooler Master case (the Wavemaster) instead of the Tt Tsunami that I currently am using. Although subjective, it's a bit noisy with the stock fans. Cooling, however, is more than enough if you're happy with air. Don't know if Comp USA changed the fan on their Wavemaster (highly doubt it) but it was much quieter.
