Tell him he can 'hit it' in the house just run to the door and 'blow' it outside - yea!

Pot can be harmful for some. Some of my best friends are pot heads and have been for many years. They always tried to get me to smoke it but I never bothered as I seen where all their money went and didn't want to be like that. Today one of them is in jail doing time and the other is flipping burgers at 27(and isn't going anyway). IMO I think the pot played a big part on where they are at today. It can also lead to more serious drugs which it did for them.

I say talk to him and tell him to quit or take it out of the house. All its gonna do it get you in trouble and possibly in jail. Just takes the wrong person getting mad at you/him and reporting it. But I also think you need to talk to your parents if they really control your life like that.

i think there is something binding you legally if he is paying regularly- also, if hes not hurting anyone, just let him be in college just like you. Relax and have a little fun while you're there

if you already told him that there is no smoking whatsoever and he knows how your parents feel about it.... fck him, kick him out. Actually it'll be better to give him an ultimatum(sic). No more smoking period or he is getting kicked out. The friends over the house all late and sleeping on the furniture would have made me kick him out already. Smoking pot is ok, just respect other's wishes.

FYI, I smoke 24/7 and I hate cigarettes. I find it no problem to abide by other people's rules on smoking weed.

Stop with this whole "Omg like pot caused my brother to run away and join the circus while my dad turned gay because of it. Pot is sooo bad!" nonsense.

Except it doesn't negate the medical facts that pot DOES have long-term damage and consequence, regardless of any other factors. Then again, for the most part, so does alcohol and smoking.

It really isn't about the pot. You had already set the rules for him and he broke it. It's as simple as that.

Reading your update.... fair enough...

Personally i would move my ass out of the parent controlled apartment into another one (even if its a lot cheaper and crapper id enjoy wild parties more than a few luxuries) but whatever floats your boat. Get a new roommate, theres tons of people who dont drink/smoke/party/listen to music/socialise who would be willing to take his place. Your parents would be happier with somone like that.
