First, does anyone know if EA is aware that you can get under the Hotel in Karkand?

I caught a dude doing that and took lots of screenshots. I followed him and watched him do it. How do I contact EA about this? The new patch is coming out soon, and it would be nice if they could fix this problem in it.

No, I won't post how to do it. :p

They might, just email them with the screenshots, and tell them the server, guy who was doing it, and your account. If no server name, or account for guy who was doing it, or both, EA will just say sorry we couldn't track down the guy, We will try to include this fix in the next patch.

Well, his name is in all of the shots and they can check and see what his K/D ratio is on that map.

Is there an abuse@ea.com or anything? I don't really know where this would go.

Most importantly, tell EA how to do it. Otherwise they won't know how to fix the bug.

They better fix it.

The exploit is exposed in every BF2 forum anyway so I'm sure EA is aware of it already.

Map exploits are not hacking and why should EA do anything to someone using a map exploit? They can fix the map, sure, but why do something to someone who's just capitalizing on their lame map making skills?

Why? It's just a map exploit. I don't play BF2, I play UT2004 and there's maps with map exploits in that game but I don't see anyone whining to the Dev to ban someone from playing because they used a map exploit. It's not using an aimbot or radar or some other cheat like that. Here's a bright idea, why doesn't crappy EA just fix the map?

Also, I'm not saying it's right to use map exploits, but in UT2004 when someone is using a map exploit to get under the map, I just go under as well and frag them there. Or the server has an admin on that will either kick the player immediately or warn him to quit using the exploit or risk being banned from the server. Don't see any reason why the Dev should get involved other than to fix the map.

Exploits should be a bannable offense and in many good servers they are. They maybe not Hacking per se, but they are Lame and a great way to just piss off everyone on the server.

Well, at the time, I didn't know what it was. I hadn't played BF2 in a few weeks, so I hadn't heard of it. All I knew was that some dude was walking through walls and racking up the points.

The problem is that BF2 keeps track of your stats. I don't know if UT2004 does, but lets say you don't know what's going on and he kills you 8 times in a row. You've forever lost the ability to get one of the medals.

All of that aside, it's wrong in principal to do that.
