My cats never crap on my stuff, or spray anywhere in the house.

Your friend must not take care of his pets.

^ This. Or maybe his cats aren't fixed. All but one of my cats throughout my life have been awesome pets.

Normally cats will poop and pee in a litter box, and fixed cats wont spray. His cats must be broken and need repair. Should only be performed by a qualified CAT technician.

my cat poops in his litter box, my roommates 3 yappy mutts will DIVE in the box to eat the poop if the cats room door is left open. Sorry, but nothing a cat does is as dirty as a dog scarfing on feline poop.

He needs to cut their nuts off. Being a guy, I didn't want to get my cat fixed. Once he started spraying, bro code went out the window. Only time after that he went outside the litter box was when I didn't get around to cleaning it. Occasionally he would get in the litter box and miss the box  , but it was rare.

Cats are horrible filthy animals. Cat apologists will try to say things like, "Cats are so clean! They wash themselves all the time!" This is a lie. Cats don't wash themselves. They regularly cover themselves with spit to be extra disgusting. Yuck!

This. It doesn't even sound like OP is talking about cats at all.

lol. Especially posting as if a friend that has cats is somehow unique.

I'd find new friends, however; I don't think you have those skills.

Question for you cat owners:

If 'fixing' the cat is required to make him clean, isn't he still inherently dirty?

The worst is hairballs. They can leave those anywhere.

I always had cats (and dogs) as a kid and don't remember ever finding hairballs. I don't even recall my cats ever trying to cough one up. I remember reading about cat hairballs and asking my teacher about it because my cats never had those behaviors.

As an adult, I've seen many cats trying to cough-up hairballs, but I still don't think I've ever seen one coughed-up. It would probably be super-easy to pick up, though. Nothing like the kinds of things a dog leaves behind.

Oh. I probably shouldn't have embedded that. :sneaky:

Decided to remove embedded image anyway...

I think the spraying only happens at certain intervals, like mating season or something, and it's only males that do it. It's kinda like how some dogs have periods. It's a "Dirty" cycle, so getting them fix just makes that go away. But they don't always do this.

Female cats don't have the spraying issue, but they will get really horny, it's actually pretty funny.
