cats and bathrooms

I'm convinced that all cats have an obsession with the bathroom....but only when people are in it. This has been the case for all the cats I've ever owned, and everyone I've known who's had a cat.

I swear they're freakin' masochists! They might hate water, but they'll for damn sure walk the slippery and thin ridge of my tub when I shower (often slipping in, getting soaked, scampering out, and then coming right back).

And then, when I'm on the toilet, there's no end to the turmoil they cause, destroying my toilet paper and all that...

pics (I'll have to catch them in the act sometime):

edit:
well I came home tonight and managed to snap a shot of one of the rapscallions in the act.
Naughty Kitty!

Awwww.... 🙂

Yeah, mine are the same way. As soon as I step out of the shower and I'm trying to dry myself, mine rub against my legs then get all confused when they become wet. 😉

They also love to play with the bathroom mat...one get's underneath and the other tried to get at her. 😀😀

Yeah, mine do that too. Are your cats related? When I got my two, I got two from the same litter because they get along so well.

they're sisters, got two so that they'd have each other to play with while I was at work, and I'm glad I did. It's not like two are really any harder to keep than one.

Oh definately. After my last cat died from lymphatic cancer, I got these two..they are brother and sister and they are 100% insane...like me. 😉

Now I need to find some pics... 😉

1 <--One of their daily wrestling matches.

2 <--Mittens decides to do her best laptop impression.

3 <--What's this thing you are pointing at me?

4 <--Felix in his favorite postion...staring at me.

5 <--stop looking at me!!! 😉

😀

Cute kittens! 😀

My kitty always wants to be in the bathroom when either aves or I are in it.

Cats like moving water.

My cats will wait on the bathroom sink for me to turn on the faucet, even though they have a water dish.

Of my 5 bastards, two will crowd me or my wife in the bathroom, while one or two sit at the door rolling and making a nuisance of themselves. The two who crowd the john usually try to drink out of the sink while we brush our teeth. Its gotten so bad that we keep a plastic cup next to the faucet for them to drink out of, so they dont get in the way of toothpaste splatter.

Peace

aww your cats look just like my cat but younger and in shape 😀
My Cat
My cat doesnt go into the bathroom too often, but he's in there in a millisecond if the toilet seat is open.

This Cat(my brother in laws) OTOH will follow you into the bathroom each and every damn time.

Doesn't your bathroom have a door? 😉

When I had animals in my home,I would close the door,to keep either the Dog,
or the cat out.

Now I live alone, unless the mice are in the cellar again,LOL.

Every cat I've ever owned will only drink water running from the faucet. If you put water in a dish or bowl they won't touch it.

My wife and I would love to get another cat, but the one we have now would kill anything else we brought home. He's pure evil.

Given a choice they'd drink out of the sink, but mine will do the dish thing if they're thirsty enough (ie: faucet off).

One of my kitties loves drinking out of a cup. She gets really excited if I give her a cup of water and starts "kneading" the floor. She also starts pawing the edge of the cup, so I have to make sure it's low to the ground or she'll knock it over.

I'll have to get a pic of that. It's cute.
