Every egg (and perhaps embryo if a lucky swimmer managed to buck the tide and enter the egg) was going to be wasted because she was unable to conceive.

I would think it would be a good thing to save at least one of those precious eggs/embryos and create life?

The others would have been destroyed naturally anyway.

She knows that place has special standards and they are legally defended. IMO if they want to fire her over it tough sh*t, it's their rules. I expect also if one of their teachers decided she was going to be an atheist they would fire her, too.
