I know this sounds crazy...but not everyone going to a private religious school belongs to that religion.

Josephus mentions Jesus as a historical figure in Antiquities, which was written sometime around the year 90. That is hardly 2 generations after Jesus supposedly lived.
The belief among Catholics is that Jesus commissioned Peter as the first Pope, and that was the beginning of the RCC.

The Catholic Church wasn't "founded" by Jesus, Jesus established Christianity.
Then, in about 600 A.D., the Bishop of Rome broke off his little "section" of the religion and called it the Catholic Church, and started calling himself the Pope.
Orthodox Christianity is the closest form of Christianity to what really existed after Christ said "Go forth and preach to all nations".

Roman Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity. Father(God), Son(Jesus) and Holy Ghost(Holy Spirit).
Peter(one of the 12 Diciples) was the first one to actively preach the teachings of Jesus. Jesus did NOT found the R.C. faith, he is one of the cornerstones of it.

Jesus did not establish Christianity. He was Jewish and died a Jew. He did not mention starting a new faith.

um... wrong? Saint Paul established Catholic church
oh and btw..
P&N!
Can you prove that to me? Or did you accept that "fact" for face value?
ok, can you prove that Jesus even existed?
owned?
Yea, he is a historical figure and there is plenty of evidence of his existence. That does not mean that he was the fully divine, fully human being that Christians believe in, but you have to be an idiot to not believe he existed.

ROFL! Jews don't even believe he was the Messiah! :laugh:MFAO!
Great response. Comedy gold.
Anyway, Jesus completely ripped apart the Jewish "faith" because it wasn't faith at all. It was nothing but rule after rule after rule. Sounds kinda like the Catholic church, doesn't it.

Many non-Catholics send their kids to Catholic schools merely because they are often the best local private schools to be found.

I think that would result in some severely confused kids. Case and point.

I never said that. I was agreeing that raising a kid with one religion, while sending him to a school who's main mission is to indoctrinate them into their own religion can cause some serious confusion.
