That is a REALLY good deal...

I flew to Hong Kong back in December 1999, RT...on Cathay Pacific
One coach ticket on Cathay Pacific was $2000+...one must also consider it was Christmas time, but still....$508 is a good deal...

On a side note, on the flight TO Hong Kong i was upgraded to business class totally unexpectedly...

Cathay always transit at HK where you have to transfer to other plane before going to the final destination, so you can always stops there

Cathay Pacific, IMO, has the best service of all the transpacific airlines... (in coach) not quite as elegant as Thai or Singapore, but very complete and thorough, very HK style. I don't remember an hour of the flight going by without some kind of drink, meal, or snack service. Unfortunately, Cathay is usually very expensive, which means i usually fly Northworst to Asia.

I am definately perverted...so I say count me in...thai girls kick ass... although the northern girls are better looking.
I went on a tour with my gf, they took us to a show where all the girls do tricks with their poosie. They even had a couple have sex on stage. It was surreal to sit their with 400 "touristy older caucasians" watching an asian couple have sex. The performance went in cycles so once you saw the same act twice you get up and someone else sits down...weird stuff.

Well, I'm going to head there in late September. But I'm only gonna do some sightseeing...;)

Cathy Pacific is great. When I was in HK last time, the ticket agent apologized for the plane taking off two hours late. And then gave me a meal pass to use in the HK airport!

Although I like the above deal, I like this one better!

This is what I'm going on. I'm also going to visit Kuala Lumpar, which should be pretty interesting. If I can squeeze it in, a couple of days in Tokyo, too. Just need me some more vacation...

United and NWA also have similarily priced tickets to Spore.

Flew on NWA to Singapore for business last year, and was not very impressed with service. But was happy to get plenty of worldperks miles! :)

The same Christmas (not exaclty, it's 12/15, one day ealier to avoid the peak season price) I flew to Hong Kong by JAL, US$700 RT. Generally JAL is cheaper and you can choose to stay in Japan for a few days.

the malaysian airline deal is better if you want to see lots of places in asia,
almost went on it a few months ago, a friend is going on it next month,
the only catch is that you have to return to malaysia for each connecting flight,
better if your just visiting SE Asia.

You don't need to pay for a airline ticket for that.

I have no idea if this is a good deal, but I know United has horrible service - one of the worst airlines I've flown.

this is quite a hot deal but not unheard of. Try Asiana or China Airline during this off-peak season and you would get similar prices.
but Cathay Pacific is quite prestigous compare to the others (I tried Thai, China (based in Taiwan), Korea, and once with JAL) JAL was probably the best. then CP, then it is a tie btwn Thai China and Korea airlines depending on the air hostess' menstrual cycle.
