this is hot since you can visit most of the cities. You gota go in within 21 days though.

But you can extend to 45 days for $200, 60 days for $300 or 90 days (!) for $350. Truly a hot travel deal, thanks OP.

hot deal, thanks OP

It usually cost me $850 per my yearly trip (to one of the destination city).

Still it can't beat the Singapore Airlines' $250 flat rate deal 2 years ago

No you don't. Since Cathay's home base is in Hong Kong, most of their flights originate from Hong Kong. But if you look carefully, there are routes that connect directly, such as Bangkok-Singapore, and Taipei-Seoul, and Taipei to all of Japan.

I did this deal last year, and I traveled for 30 days for $100 extra. Pricing for the 21-day pass was $999 last year, and I believe it increased by $100 this year due to higher fuel cost. But unless you travel to only couple of destinations, this is a great deal that is hard to pass up. The pricing for this 2 years ago was only $699, due to SARS scare, with much less restrictions.

Cathay Pacific is one of only 2 major airlines (Singapore Airline being the other one) in the world that is given the highest rating (number of stars). The fleet is modern and well-kept, and all economy seating comes with a personal LCD TV with numerous movies and TV channels, along with countless music and video game choices, all at no charge. Flight attendants are some of the cutest I've seen, and very courteous and friendly. I've flown other airlines, and Cathay is my favorite.

it said there's a minimum stay of 7 days within the 21-day, so in effect you can only visit 3 cities maximum ???

Where did you see that? That's not true, and you can fly to all 17 cities within 21 days if you want. I flew 6 cities within 30 days, and that was good for me.

Why they don't have any flights to China?

You can include Shanghai for additional $400. Last year when I went, Beijing was included in the original $999 offer for free. I just realized that Beijing is excluded in this year's deal.

what if you don't have cathay pacific airline at your airport? do you have to buy a domestic ticket to a state that has the airline first?
