you can apply effects to any game, it uses the pixel shaders to do so, there are some pre-programmed into the driver already, and I hear you'll be able to download and install more as more are produced, and also in a future release I think they are gonna let people be able to make their own effects

Giants - Citizen Kabuto also runs significantly faster.

Too bad this game is like 4 years old! Although I have to say I had more fun playing this than most. Too bad they never made a follow up.

It looks like ATi really outdid themselves this time. I don't have time to install the new package yet, but I shall post my results in a few days. I doubt the 9700 can run UT2003 very well with the new particle effects turned on, but we'll see.

Got mine installed.
Don't see anything about overclocking, although I don't have an XT, so no surprise there. It didn't effect my Rage 3D overclocker, it still works normally.

I don't understand smartshader. It's options are
Black & White
Classic
Inverse Color
Porthole
RGB Cycle
Stylize - Black & White

I am going to try runing BF1942 under classic and see how it works...

EDIT: Smartshader under classes gives everything a brownish tint. What is the point to this??

I have a 8500 running at 200/200 and am not sure if they will help or not?

The Cat uninstaller seemed to work perfectly. The installation of the drivers and control panel were uneventful, and MMC 8.7 installed without issues.

So far, the PC checks still misses the MMX support. 1080p is there, but no 1080i (at least without plugging in the component).
