Catalyst Driver Problems

I do a lot of gaming, but sometimes it gets frustrating because I constantly have to switch between drivers. Some games require that I have CCC installed, which I would like to keep, but when I try to play another game, for example, Farcry 2, the graphics are all messed up, like maybe a fence on the left side of the screeon would be stretched in a direction it shouldn't be going, or the sight on the gun would be stretched all the way to the top of the screen. I tried changing a couple of settings in CCC but they didn't seem to affect it any, I would try more but I really don't want to mess anything up. Any help would be much appreciated. Btw, I have a Radeon HD 3670.

Well, what driver(s) are you using? What operating system? It's possible that this problem is not related to your drivers but actually a sign that your graphics card is dying.

Also, what games require the Catalyst Control Center? There really shouldn't be any, especially since Nvidia graphics cards don't use the CCC at all.

We need more information like Red Hawk said. The 3000 series cards are easily the most problematic AMD cards I've seen though. Honestly, I would forgo trouble shooting and look for a newer card.

I believe I may have found an update actually. It was under a different section on the AMD website. I was recently running v. 8.961 and now it is 8.970.100.3000. So far it is working but I haven't tested everything. I can't wait to get something better than the 3670, but I'm content with it until then. And thanks for replying to my post.

In case you didn't hear, AMD recently separated their legacy driver support to it's own set of drivers. 5XXX or newer are in one release and everything before it are in another. Legacy driver support is now on a quarterly release schedule.
