Check out... 9.2 boost performance by 35-45% in dx10 games... OMG!!!!

messing... too bad if u believe it... anyway.. the real deal is... any word on cat 9.2... i am hoping they make them really nice because the 9.1 are a f... up....

the only issue I am having with cat 9.1 is the fallout 3 random crash issue. If they get that fixed, I will be at least satisfied.

Not only game has crashed once except fallout 3 for me, everything else runs flawlessly.

everything is running strange here with 9.1 also have a 4870x2... the atiumdag.dll crash almost everything after a while... to make things more complicated... i think my new mobo heatsinks are a bit weak... and the new bios also have some issues... waiting for drivers and bios... then move up and change those heatsinks.. i see some nice thermal take third party heatsinks for boards... really nice...

So your mobo may be having issues and you're going to blame everything on ATI drivers? I'd troubleshoot your motherboard and make sure it's working without issues then completely clean out the ATI drivers and re-install them before I make any such statements.

get into ati forums and check out the crap about the 9.1... is a well known issue with those drivers... lol... also in asus forums there is some complains about 802 being inferior to 701... lol...

I'm hoping they address the issues with the Fallout 3 CTDs. I never experienced in any crashes with my 4870 on the 8.12s, but I've logged a lot more time in FO3 in the 9.1 drivers. Not sure whether its an ATI issue or the result of Bethesda's programming. They don't exactly have a reputation for releasing polished titles.

Fraud isn't cool dude, especially on this forum. Watch out, the mods might give you a vacation for suggesting that.

He should claim insurance, but instead of using insurance money to buy an nvidia card I would suggest an english course.

something's been bothering me for quite a while now...
everytime there is a new driver out i read a review in Tweaktown that constantly shows a very small degredation in performance as time goes by.
between 0.3 and 1 FPS lower with new drivers, and thats constant for the last 6 or 7 driver releases.

i just find that very strange. perhaps its not appearing for everyone but i would at least expect some performance improvments as ATI keep claiming to have.

p.s. i used to have an ATI card before my current card.

I would recommend using the latest. People who have problems are the exception, not the norm. I have always used the latest drivers since I purchased my 4870 about six months ago and never had a problem. As for crossfire, I imagine the newest drivers have the largest amount of crossfire profiles built in and therefore the best overall crossfire performance for games in general.
