Damn! Initial results: This still has the crossfire problem with Oblivion since 6.7 :(
6.6 chucks are the fastest Oblivion Crossfire Drivers.

6.6's are the best drivers for ATI cards, Crossfire or not. They gave a great performance increase from 6.5's and were just solid all the way around. I should probably experiment with 6.9's though. Are they even worth the troulbe of installing?

Lets you use HDR and AA in Oblivion and possibly other games but not being an ATI owner I don;t know which ones.

This driver talk confuses me.

Someone just bought parts for a brand new system, an x1900xt included. What drivers should they install on that new machine?

I installed in my other partition Windows 2000 with the WinXP Cat 6.9 and I found no compatability problems, but it was installed on the X800XT PE, don't know about the X1k series.

Yeah. I get this warning when installing the Warcats that they're not WHQL certified. :p

Other than that, I think the Warcat ones are tweaked to give just a little more visual "edge" than the reference 6.6's. I haven't exactly tried one, installed another and looked for differences. For stabiltiy and troubleshooting concerns, just use the WHQL ones from ATI. Otherwise, why not try the Warcats?

gerrson, what does "L33t service" mean?
