Catalyst 5.11 release & benchmarks

all these driver should destroy the 7800gtx :! ANyways as owner of 7800GTX + X1800XL i am not happy or sad , i am just right :! Nov 19 hear up because I want my X1800XT !

Very nice. I like to see driver releases that not only address bug fixes, but increase performance as well.

yea some of those gains are quite impressive, especially HL2. good job ATI.

from here on out they best be executing flawlessly if they want to make up ground they lost. and for the love of god either get crossfire working or scrap it entirely. the gaming community does not want a mangled master card dongle based solution ATI, they want it nice and clean like Nvidia has managed to do it. no dongles, no master cards, just make it nice and clean and SIMPLE.

Nice. Not as groundbreaking or earth-shattering as some previews were showing (Doom3 and Quake4 scores were through the roof if I recall), but a healthy improvement nonetheless. The Half Life 2 boost is very encouraging.

remember that nVidia has been working on SLI for years . . . ati has about 18 months total as they didn't expect it [at all] . . . by r600, x-fire will be on a par [at least] with sli.

and 'about time' with that Ogl performance . . . i bet there is [still] a long way to go 😉

Has anyone tried the transparency AA hack on these drivers to see if it works correctly on x800 cards? I enabled in in cat 5.9, but it resulted in horrible texture shimmering, so I'd like to take another whack at it.
