The drivers work fine but the standalone control panel appears to be corrupted and won't install. Does anybody else have this problem?

BFG10K,most people are installing the complete single set up package(driver and control panel all in one).I remember when I installed the control panel few months back on its own and it was corrupted,ATi users recommended using the single complete package, so since that day I`ve always gone with the single complete setup installation, there always seems to be problems appearing in the separate control panel download.

goto control panel, add remove programs, and look for 'ati software uninstall utility'

that takes out the drive and control panel. reboot, cancel the new hardware found dialog box. install new driver. reboot again.

anyone running windows 2003 have trouble putting these drivers in?

Changing the resolution in Halo while playing in the middle of a Campaign no longer results in a reboot of the machine. This issue was known to occur under Windows XP with an ATI RADEON? 9000 series installed

About effing time! :|

I read on Rage3d forum, some ppl have installation issues on Cat4.1. Luckily, it does not happen to me 😉 just installed it tonight, works like wonder. I can feel a little speed improvement on Star Wars KotOR and Beyond Good and Evil.
As a matter of fact... i never had any problems with ATI Catalysts....

Just installed 4.1's with no problems... though I did do a "over-the-top" installation. I was hoping it would fix my infinite loop error that causes my comp to crash about 1/3 the time on startup, but no can do. Gonna do some gaming now to see how it goes.

Oh, last question, do you guys reccomend using that utility from ati's site to remove all the old drivers or just use the windows uninstaller?

I use the uninstall ATi utility in add/removes program icon then boot into safe mode and run Driver Cleaner from here
